The Blue Bell Explorer(s) - November 2013
Two tours in November (the first to be steam-hauled onto the Bluebell since 1963, which came via. Ardingly) saw the first visit of a Britannia pacific to the line for many years, if indeed ever, as 70013 Oliver Cromwell arrived with a railtour which had originated at Bridgnorth on the Severn Valley Railway on the 2nd November.
A week later this was followed by the arrival of 34046 Braunton and 44932, not making firsts for the class to the line (the latter only by a few weeks, however) but firsts for both engines, on a tour from Victoria which went on to visit Uckfield later in the day.
