1. Bluebell Railway

Vintage Trains gala - November 2011

In lieu of the Giants of Steam event (given the lack of large engines and the reluctance to bring in a visitor or two with a tip to dig out), the Bluebell instead opted to put on a Vintage Trains gala to end the season, starring the older locomotives and carriages, including the debut of SECR Birdcage brake no. 3363 and some special workings.

This would turn out to be the last major "enthusiast" event at the line until the autumn of 2015, when the traditional Giants of Steam gala returned to the calendar.

A video of the event can be found here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R4uxSFVFAc
