Autumn Steam Gala - September 2012
The Autumn steam gala had been billed as the largest gathering of Maunsell designed engines in 40 years. Unfortunately the withdrawals of GCR-based 777 Sir Lamiel and the NYMR-owned S15 825 meant this plan was scuppered.
However, the late addition of Didcot's 43xx class no 5322 and the addition to the home fleet of recently overhauled 925 Cheltenham (on a long term loan from her owners the National Railway Museum) made up for the disappointment to some extent.
