Steam (back) on the Met - May 2013
The return after a 10 years hiatus of Steam on the Met to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Metropolitan Railway from Paddington to Farringdon saw three tank engines (the Metropolitan Railways own tank L.44, GWR pannier tank 9466 and small Prairie 5521 (relivieried in mock LT livery)) running shuttles from Amersham to Harrow-on-the-Hill (plus one early run from Wembley Park) utilising the LT museum 4TC set and 'Jubilee' carriage 353, one of the stars of the January runs through the underground with L.44.
